I am getting two baby chicks for a special occasion. I have already done research on them like what they eat and stuff like that but are there any other tips that might help? Thanks!

Don't forget that they need a heat lamp to replace the heat that their mum would give them.

What kind of chicks? All breeds are different. If they are a hookbill of any sort I highly reccomend that you wait until they are weaned, for their sake and yours.

parakeets? if they are in a nesting box for parakeets, then you don't do anything. don't even touch it! the parent will feed it.if you touch it when born from 2-5 daysor more before it can feed itself, then the parent wil not care for it anymore because it has human smell on it. it is just the way they react.

If you mean chickens, get a least 5; they need each other for warmth.
