In the United States they are now called "Snickers with Almonds." This is because Snickers is already a popular bar, so they "rebranded" the Mars bar to incorporate the Snickers name, in the hopes that it would snag new customers who like the regular Snickers bar.
In the United Kingdom, they still have something called a Mars Bar, but it is like a Milky Way in the U.S.

According to the Wiki...
"The Mars Bar is a chocolate bar manufactured by Mars Incorporated. It was first manufactured in Slough in the United Kingdom in 1932 as a sweeter version of the Milky Way bar which Mars produced in the USA.[1] It is made of chocolate-malt nougat topped with a layer of caramel and covered with milk chocolate, and is still marketed outside North America.
A completely different chocolate bar named Mars Bar was sold in the USA until 2000. It contained plain nougat, almonds, caramel, and milk chocolate."

Aha Mars bar is still one of the more popular chocolate bars in the UK, didn't know it was sold in other countries ^ ^. If America has lost the Mars bar no big deal if I ever travel there, it wasn't the best anyway...
Galaxy chocolate beats it down, think that company exists under the name of Dove in other nations other than the UK.

I've never heard of a Mars bar in the United States, but they still have them over in the United Kingdom. I think they deep fry them too... yum.

I have seen them available at least a year ago in the bags made for holidays which have a number of smaller bars but not in the regular size bar. This was in California.

I can guarantee that it's still out there - you just have to look at the right places since they tend to mix up things now and then when they are stocking the candy.

): Too much caramel not enough PIZAZZ! they were replaced by the milky way in 94 but you can find them at a few obsolete locations on the west coast.
Such as candy novelty stores.
Also I would suggest santa fe.
