where she was given a tempory filling to-night her lip has started to swell like a big blister phoned n.h.s helpline and was told to give her 2 spoons of calpol plenty fluids and to keep an eye on her breathing the breathing part has got her mum worried does anyone else had any experiance of anything like this before any advice please many thanks.

The breathing part would have worried me too. I think you should take her to A&E as NHS direct can`t give you a correct diagnosis without seeing her. Its probably nothing to worry about but at least it will put your mind at rest. Hope she`s ok x.

Im 19 years old and when i had to have a filling, i had an reaction to the injection, i got very sleepy and my lip got swollen too but it went down after a few hours. If she had an injection it may be a minor reaction. however, do keep an eye on as everyoen is different.

I have never heard of anything like this before and it really does not sound right to me. Maybe she has some sort of allergy to the ingredients of the filling.

I would be really worried too as if it has made her lip swell, it could easily make her tongue swell. i think I would be tempted to take her to A&E. It is much better to be safe than sorry.
