Will be there with long delay between flights. I've heard Malnati's has the best. What do you think? Especially interested in hearing from Chicagoans.

I'm from Detroit, but I've been to Chicago 11 times in the past 3 years, I've tried all the major Pizzerias in Chicago. I have to say that Giordanos is the best I've tasted(many locations throught the Chicago area). Lou Malnatis is good as well, but a step below Giordanos, but still good. Whatever you do, don't go to UNO, it's terrible. The crust is always burnt, and they put WAY TOO MUCH SAUCE on the pizza. They are being cheap because they don't want to use a lot of cheese because it costs much more. Not to mention the sauce actually has a lot of water in it too. It's the most over-rated pizza in Chicago. I must say though, that none of these places has pizza as good as Pizza Papalis in Detroit, trust me.

Lou Malnatis is good, as is Giordanos and Gino's East. Just make sure you get DEEP DISH - all of those places' thin crusts are good, but not out of this world.

If you want something different and equally as great, go to the CHICAGO PIZZA AND OVEN GRINDER COMPANY in Lincoln Park. They make a very unique and tasty pizza pot pie dish. It's a nice restaurant, and each grinder thingy is made from scratch. I've only been there once, but it was SO GOOD and I must go back. I even saw it on the Food Network on a best pizza in the US episode!! Here is the url...

As for if you are stuck at Ohare / Midway, depending on traffic, a cab will take 30-60 min to get to any of these pizza joints....

I personally prefer Giordanos but I think you can get Malnatis in the airport frozen to take with you.
