first look at yourself... i mean get your motivation going. then do all sorts of workouts and watch what you eat. that should help for the most part

Begin a work out routine, something easy and fun. What will probably give you more motivation or help you continue working out is if you do it with a friend, a parent or a sibling. I don't know if gyms allow someone that is only 14 years old to join but check local gyms. also you really have to watch what you eat but please don't starve your self, your still young and have a chance to create a healthy life style. Some healthy choices are fat free milk, whole wheat bread, water instead of soda not even diet, no candy or fast food,You may also want to make smaller goals in a shorter time period, for example decide to loose 5 pounds in 3 weeks, i think by making short term goals you will feel as if you accomplished more and keep you motivated. The bottom line is make healthy choices from now on, and the best way to lose weight is the natural way, no diet pills or starving yourself.... i hope you are able to get your weight on track continue on regular workout routine

You can do it. Just don't start doing crazy things. Go about it the smart way. I'm not sure if you've hit puberty yet, but I remember when I hit puberty I went from moderately chubby to skinny as a rail! But if you have started, then you need to concider diet and excercise to improve. You have a whole summer ahead of you and seeing as your too young to work a job yet you can use that time to get yourself to an ideal weight.

Here are some tricks I know work. Cut back ALL sugars. No soda (diet included!), juce or canned beverages. No candy, cakes or sweets. Cut back on pasta. Increase salads and meat intake. I've had a friend drop visible amount of weight (were talking a couple inches of his waiste) by just doing this!

If you add excercise to this you can better your chances and improve results. Don't go crazy and excercise for hours. That could hurt you. Get into a summer sport? Or get some friends who live near bye and go walking (and when you feel up to it try jogging) or biking. All great forms of excercise. If you or a friend has a pool and you can swim, do that as well. Try not to spend sunny days inside. Turn off the TV, computer and get out! If you get your friends involved it will make it fun for you and them. Your friends will be a form of support for you and also a form of encouragement (I know, excercising alone sucks, when you have a friend it can be fun).

One more thing before I finish this. Don't expect to see results right away. Your body needs time to adjust. Give it a month before you should see a change. Keep up these habits to keep up your figure. Ask your parents for help too. They may be proud of you for wanting to make your lifestyle healthy!

Good luck!

While it is very important for you to watch your diet, you must also remember that you are only 13. I'm sure we could get countless men and woman that can say they were overweight until after they hit puberty (or even were mid way through).

I don't think any special instruction is really necessary here.

1) Try not to eat when it isn't a meal time (like breakfast, lunch etc)

2) Try to avoid sedate activities (like watching tv, computer)

3) Don't let your self-esteem go down. You are you no matter what weight, and that will always be the same. Don't let what others think interfere with how you feel!

make healthier choices. doing any of these when you can or every day will start you on the path towards losing weight and being healthy. 70 pounds is too much for you to try and lose in the time you have I think - but you can make a great start and feel fabulous by then for sure :)

these include:
eat more raw veggies
walk for 30 min or more
take an exercise class
go swimming
don't drink soda (this alone will lose you major pounds!)
carry a big bottle of water around with you - staying totally hydrated will keep your hunger away
cut down on snacks - replace them with healthy options like cereal, pretzels, veggies, nuts/raisins, fruit
eat oatmeal for breakfast to fill you up
don't eat after 7pm.
walk up stairs, no elevators
NO MORE FAST FOOD - it's gross.

good luck. seriously - i tried for a long time to lose weight by making drastic changes for short periods of time - and it never worked.

but last summer i made a goal to educate myself and just be more aware of the food/drink choices i make - and get active a few days a week - and over the past 7 months I lost and kept off easily 40 pounds.

That's not possible. But, instead of trying to fit into next years class of beauties, why not let yourself become a beauty for life?
Cut out All the bad stuff. Eat raw@fruits and vegies every day (7 of each). And exercise regularly.
Your 'image' in school is not nearly as important as your life.
If you have the money to afford it, I suggest you go to www.infinity2.com and get their weight-loss formula. Call the toll free number and tell them your sponsor is 3289088. That will guarantee that you get the lowest price possible.
But, if you can't afford that, just start eating lots and lots of raw fryits and vegetables and exercise.
My daufhter weighed 165lbs and she was just a kid like you. She lost all the fat and became a slender beautyl you can do it too.

the longer it takes to come off the longer it will take for you to gain it back IF you even do gain it back....
becarefull what you wish for..
all protien diets will make you thinner BUT they do damage to your LIVER and you only have ONE of those. plus you will balloon right back QUICK if you decide to eat carbs again.
your muscles NEED carbs. any true athlete will know this.
you are on the right track going to a nutritionist but you are on the wrong track for the reason. you need to do it for you first! you are #1. no one else not a friend you have now is as important than you should be to yourself.
you are young and your body will change, your harmones just changed and probably your hair texture has too. Now take care of yourself by
#1cutting down sweets ... just have a day or two to enjoy 1 ot two treets. thats it! no soda! you will lose 5lbs easy just stopping that.
#2 drink a full tall glass of water BEFORE every meal. or maybe even before you eat anything. it will fill you up .
#3 dont eat after 6:30pm and stick to it. go to bed early if you feel like snacking.
#4 eat 4-6 small meals per day... controling your callories too. if you have a bowl of cereal in the morning and a snack like sliced apples & a water for a snack before lunch I bet you will eat less for lunch! then between lunch and dinner have a small salad... dont like salad have a veggy or a fruit. this will make your metabolism work more and you will not be constipated.
# 5 walk even play a sport thats fun but moves like frisbee,dance,tennis...nothing too hard on your muscles( no weight lifting) your still growing.
#6 most important make smaller goals and keep a journal.
for the first week tell yourself you will change ONE thing and stick to it..like drink more water (thats it)
. for the next week less sweets ( so now its two things)
for the week after no eating late and so on...
small acheivalble goals is the key... forget what your friends look like and pay more attention to you you deserve more you are #1 remember!

It would be unnatural and unhealthy to try and lose all that weight so quickly. Remember that there is no easy or quick fix. Your body is a machine. Put the right fuel in and it will run better. Make sure your joints don't get rusty. Limit stress in your life and don't let your weight stress you out, you have plenty of time to lose it. Also lose weight for yourself, not because how you feel others will think about you.

drink some green tea it makes you burn calories faster, excercise earlier in the day, of course you've heard eat a low fat breakfast it helps curb the appetite, get on a sports team, it will force you to keep excercising, post a picture of someone who's thin and gorgeous, to remind you of your goal, don't starve yourself because you'll eventually give in and you'll gain even more weight, imagine yourself thin walking into a room and think of the confidence you have, when you look at food think of oily butter and say this is the fat that is on me

i heard of this breathing excercise which is better than crunches, basically you breathe in while sucking in your stomach, hold it for 15 seconds then breath out while keeping your stomach in, you do a bunch of those every day and it helps lose weight...

and btw do u wanna be diet buddies? i'm 12 and i'm trying to lose weight too, according to the doctor i'm at a huge risk for becoming overweight and though i'm at a normal weight it's not necessarily healthy!!

Whatever you do just start moving! whether you go for a 20 minute walk or do some crunches in your room. There is no fast way to lose weight and if you just stop eating you will gain the weight back so fast, trust me lose weight by eating right and moving a lot that is how you keep the weight off and it stays off.

Try this........ Eat only fruits for breakfast then eat, at lunch time eat only vet ables, and dinner another serving of vegetables. Drink plenty of water and about 4 cups of green tea every day. You can flavor you veggies with stuff like olive oil, salt, pepper, and low trans fat butter. You can also make salads and get really creative with your diet. Also you might try taking walks every day to get you metabolism and to get your circulation going. Vigorous exercise is not necessary, because what you put in your body is more important then anything. Sure you need to get you blood flowing every day, with some sort of cardio exercise about 20 mins every day.
