I asked a friend out to our school's banquet. She paused, asked, "Me?". She paused again, said, "I'll think about it. I'll get back to you." What in the world does that mean?

It really depends.. because sometimes its means no straight forward, but then sumtimes its really does mean they will think about it. But just to be on the safe side ask her again and see wat she says.

i had a friend that once said " a no in girl means im im not sure/i dont think so, a NO means no/never, a we'll see means maybe, a maybe means yes, a yes means f**k yeah" but i think it depends on the context, the mood, her tone, her facial expression maybe even body language. a word can mean so many different things when said by a girl !

if it were me, I'd pretty much take that as "Let me think of a nice way to say no"
but then again i'm a pessimist with little self-esteem.
Who knows though, she could've just gotten caught off guard and got all flustered and hit the panic button.

That could mean several things. "I'm controlled by my parents and have no idea what they have planned for me." or "I have to check with my friends to see if it's a good idea that I'm seen with you." or "Let me check with all my other boy toys." or "Wait one second while I go freak out that you're asking me of all people!" or it could even mean, "I don't know. I have to consider homework and other things." Good Luck.

THat means she's either playing hard to get, or she's not interested. Wait to see if she contacts you. If she doesn't try for a date with her best friend.

It means find another girl to ask. It's an attempt to not hurt your feelings by saying "Ick, no way!" .

i would move on if i were you,and myabe just go for another girl. if a girl doesnt usually say yes right now, means she doesnt really want to- but every girl is different.
