Children love scavenger hunts. Hide different items throughout the yard or house. Give each child a clue to where the first item is. When they find the first item, they will find the second clue and be off to look for the second item. If the children are close in age you can make it a contest. Who ever finds all the items first wins a prize. Even if you do not make it a contest children are very proud of themselves when they complete the hunt. This game can be played no matter how many kids you have. It is fun and it passes time. Also gets them their exercise and fresh air. They will go to bed good that night. That always makes a mom happy.
