Like the other guys said, there are lots of careers in fishing... however, a lot of the guys I know who've gone into it as a business have gotten burned out on it as a sport. When you HAVE to do something (take people fishing and try to get them fish when the bite or the weather sucks, or write about it just to pay the bills, or whatever) it can get old awfully fast. If you really love to fish, get a good job in some other field and make enough money so you can fish whenever you want.

There are tournament fishermen who make very good money between tournament money, sponsorships and appearance fees. Or you could be a product rep., someone who does promotion at Sport & Fishing shows. You could own a baitshop and boat rental (and maybe even learn taxidermy to supplement the income). Design or make your own artificial lures (many fishing tackle makers started out in their garage). Buy a charter boat and do charter fishing trips. Join a commercial fishing crew and maybe captain your own boat someday. These are a few suggestions but there are a lot of different things that you could do that are related to fishing whether you want to do it in a recreational fashion or as a commercial fisherman.

There are so many career's it's hard to list them all. But in Alaska you can work in a cannery to a fishing boat, or you can be a guide (if you are realy good). You can tie flies and give tie fying lessons. You can work down at the cost at a fish market. Im not sure what exactly you are interested in but there are a few idea's. Good luck P.S. this came from a woman fly fisher
