In my highschool anatomy class today we tested our own urine and mine was all normal but i had lots of ketones. We learned that this can be caused by starvation, stress, and diabetes. So if ketones are caused by the burning of fats wrather than sugar for energy (im simplifying these terms) then wouldnt that mean that I am losing weight?? I do NOT have diabetes..im not really fat...and im not really overly stressed or anything...so wouldnt someone want ketones in their urine for the sake of losing weight if they know that they don't have other problems? I have been excersizing and watching what i eat lately.
