i already asked how you say i love you and got lots of answers i'm going to try my luck with i miss you. this is a memorial tattoo for my father who passed away in febuary of lymphoma please do not make this a joke as someone did on my last question and i was quite offended.

The 2 answers here above are absolutely correct. However I want add that "papà" is the most common in Italy while the word "babbo" is mainly from Tuscany region (where I'm living). I guess which to be used it's depending on the origins of your father or his ancestors.If I were you I would change the words order to enhance yr father's figure and then my suggestions are :
Papà mi manchi
or
Babbo mi manchi
May him rest in peace

Like someone else said "mi manchi papa" (with an accent on the final a) or if you are from the north you might say
" babbo" instead of "papa". Sorry about your dad.

Of course martox is 100% right but if I can make a suggestion and there's no problem (with tattoo area extension, for instance, since it's a little longer sentence) I think something like "You'll always dwell in my heart, dad" should be more appropriate for a memorial tattoo.
"Sarai sempre nel mio cuore, papà" or "Sempre nel mio cuore, papà" (a little more poetical).
