Try to encourage him to be more independent. Cook for him or take him out or get him to take you out instead of always depending on mommy for food. When he tries to call mommy say something like "I think it's sweet you love your mom, but didn't you just call her 45 minutes ago?". Start asking him about his plans in life and ask if they involve moving out and getting his own place to live.

Well if things become serious in your relationship your going to have to let him know that you are to be first in his heart before anyone else. His mom will always hold a special place in his heart and that's okay, but at the same time he can't hold her above you. If he does then this will cause problems in your relationship. He will always take her side over yours when makeing family decissions and because of this your family will suffer.If you guys aren't this serious as of yet. Try talking to him about it. Be careful how you choose to do this because it may come off the wrong way causing him to think that you are jelous of his mother or that you don't like her. Let him know exactly how you feel and tell him that it's affecting your relationship with him.

Play momma to him and at the same time treat him with the candies that he can't get from his momma.

It's never a bad thing to love your momma!
It's a great thing, you know they wont ever hurt you & they'll treat you right.
I think my bf a pretty big momma's boy, I'm completelty fine with it. He treats me like a queen.
Either you love him & his momma, or just end things now before things get to serious!

You should tell him how you feel. Don't baby him that is his problem now. If that is not what you want, a momma's boy, then find someone who fits you.

Hi, My husband was a real mamas boy when we were dating. It didn't matter what I wanted to do, If his mom called I was dropped in a second. But if you hang in there, it will all be worth it. Now my husband is the most loving man ever. There is one thing you can give him that his mother cant. Use that and hold on to him. In the end it will be you that he holds on to. Not his mama.

Dont you love them kind? I had a bf like that before...he turned out to be a psycho but in your case I would say sit down and talk with him about it. thats really the only thing you can do (other than nothing).
