I want you. Takes pressure off him/me. Does not sound clingy, but sounds passionate. Sounds self confident and stronger. Desire, in place of weakness.

i would prefer hearing 'i love you' from my lover because then there would be no doubt or ambiguity as to what my lover means. "i need you" or "I want you".... I'm not really sure because it would really depend on the context and situation and how it is said.... i.e. whichever word in each phrase is stressed more would really determine the meaning and intent. Without the context or situation... it's hard to say which i would prefer to hear since it can have so many interpretations

Im not sure, but I guess I would prefer to hear "i want you." But i think both are pretty similar. Both of them sound desparate and shows that a person cares. "i need you" sounds more like when a person would say that if they need you for something, like money, support, etc. "i want you" is like for people who feels that they really do want just you.

Either. Every woman wants to be needed and wanted by her lover.

I would rather hear "I want you" because "I need you" makes it sound like maybe they wish they DIDN'T need you. I like hearing "I want you" because there is no question about strong feelings or motivation. It makes everything really clear.

I would rather hear I want you. That would mean he wants me for me. If he said he needed me, I would feel like he needed me for something, like money for example.

I guess that would depend on my mood. As a general rule I would like to hear that I'm needed...but if I'm feeling frisky, then it would be nice to hear "I want you."

If I had my way, it would be "I love you" but to answer you question, I would have to say "I want you" as "I need you" can hold a hidden agenda.
Does this answer your question?
I sure hope so!
Take it easy!

I want you.
I need you sounds desperate. But both sound stupid truthfully. I want you sounds like he wants to do things with you and I need you sounds like he can't function on his own.

Actually, I would mostly want to hear my name being called out instead of another guys, ha,ha. Just kidding. "I need you" sounds too, well, "needy". "I want you" sounds too, well, "sexual". How about "I love you" instead?
