I just asked a girl that I like if she wanted to go out. She said yes, but before she gave me her response, she paused for a few seconds and was like umm....Anyways, I was just wondering is it normal, or did she just want to be friends, or am I just worrying too much. Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

She is thinking the consequences that it might bring to her? Examples: problems with parents, she might have another boyfriend, how can she go out with you without causing problems, ect. ASK HER!!

Well....she did say yes, so I assume she wanted to go out with you. However, if a guy I realllllllyyyyyy like asks me out, I'd jump at the chance. I'd say "I'd love to", so....
Girls can be weird about this though! Once I read in a woman's magazine that you should wait 5 seconds before agreeing to a date. I think that is so stupid! But, she might have taken that advice.
I guess the only real thing you have to go on is that she said Yes. Good luck!:)

Did she say yes???? Then what's the problem? She was probably just teasing you, man. You know, playing with your head , a little, just to play the "hard to get" thing. Don't be so insecure. Be confident and if she said yes, (which you never told us) be happy. Now, go out and show her a good time.

she paused because she had to think about it.. mostly likely she's not really into cause if she was she would of said yes without hesitation. if your feeling uneasy about the situation just talk to her and let her know that she can be honest with you.

Watch her because she's not sure about her answer even though she already said it.... I think thats wrong if she was gonna say no she could said it instead of breakin your heart in the end. Stay Strong you might be in for something from this girl.....

I would have to say that the girl was just thinking about it. She was probably somewhat nervous and she wanted to make sure it was she wanted to do. Trust me.

i think that she really doesn't like u because she needed time to think it out. A true girl that likes u would just smile and say yes and then hug u. Thats seriously love!!!!!!!!!

got problem with girls??? try ross jeffreys tactics...
anyway, in that moment girl take all her expirience and memories and she gives you a mark, from, let say, 0-10, and if you pass certain mark, you will get date. if she answers immediately, that means that she drooling over you. anyway do not let yourself be nervous about that, "never run for bus or girl, you will get another one soon"

You're over-thinking it. The main point is she said yes.
She probably paused because she doesn't want you to think she's easy.
