i don't but for all the people who has a diary and write your thoughts, fellings everything that has happen to you, and it got lost or stolen, and imagine someone close to you like your family or friends and they read your personal life, like first time you done it, or bad things you did and no one ever find out what would you do, how would you react and if you never find it or not find it, would you still write in your diary or never again ?

I've always kept a journal - diary doesn't sound right to me.
When I lived at home with my parents my mom found it once and I got a strip torn off for some of the stuff I wrote but I told her straight up if she doesn't want to know then don't read it! I got grounded but I still wrote in it regardless.
Now I live with my boyfriend of 6 years and I leave my journal in plain sight - he's more than welcomed to read it under the condition that he understands what I write is sometimes in the 'heat of the moment' and that he might not like what it says. I figure I'm being very honest with him and to tell you the truth - he hasn't opened it even once and it sits on my coffee table. I've also kept all my journals from the time I was 10yrs old and I get a real kick out of reading some of the things I wrote back then. The bottom line is: people should learn to respect another person's right to freely express themselves and understand that they are in no position (ever) to interfere with that. If you don't want someone to find out certain things about you - write in code - trust me it works!

My husband started one a few years ago, starting from his childhood, etc. He
wanted to leave something behind for the kids to let them know what things were like when he was growing up. I think that it is an awesome thing so even
our grandchildren can have an idea what it was like when Grandpa was young. He stopped when he got non-Hodgkins Lymphoma because he didn't have the energy to do it. The kids could see how he was doing any way. God is good. 100% healed. This is something I never did, but sometimes wish I did. My life is so dull compared to our kids and grandkids, that they would fall asleep reading it. Besides, they know everything about us anyway. If I had
something to hide, I wouldn't write it down as things could get embarrassing
all the way around. So I understand what you are saying.

Hello, well I would feel pretty hurt and frustrated. I use to keep a diary but I don't keep it hanging around anymore. And things have changed so much for me that I can chill without it.
You know what you could do though! you could keep all your things on your yahoo 360 start a blog and you can set who can read it, I don't mind others reading mine so I set it for the public right but in other cases where you want no one else to see it, well hey you can set it for your eye's only and not a dam person can take that away from you and you can never lose it.
So check that out.
Chow.

I am in my 20's now and do keep a few notebooks of things. I have written to digests and other things. I just love to write. I don't mind anyone reading any of it, so they are welcome to it. I am working on two different things that I would rather be read when they are done (because they are quite long) I just keep them in a place my husband (and my son:P) wouldn't think to touch them. For example, we have our own side tables on each end of our bed. The stuff I have on and in mine are MINE. My husband knows if he touches anything he gets a little twisted pinch, in an area he doesn't want to be pinched like that. ;)
Great question. Have a good night!

I don't have a diary. I always thought a diary is for girls and a journal is boys, and I don't have a journal either (I'm a boy).
