Oh how I love this discussion.
If the Bible depicts society as it was, when slavery was OK, can it not also depict a society where homosexuality was bad? And nowadays things are different? Or will gay people always be bad whereas slavery has simply gone out of fasion and is no longer as acceptable as it once was?

Also, I love how todays spoiled people compare themselves to ancient slaves because they have to work for a living.

No, Back then (when the Bible was written) it was okay to own slaves, I am not sure it actually says anywhere in the bible that its okay to own slaves. But now a days obviously that isnt okay to own slaves, that culture and our culture is different in many ways. God also wants his people to obey the law (not just his law)

The Bible does not say that slavery is ok, it only refers it as a condition of the society that it was written in. In fact, the anti-slavery movement was based on the Christian Bible under the premise that we are all children of God and therefore no man should own another.

(The Bible also talks about servants who were paid employees, not to be confused with slaves)

No, you cant. Well I dont believe in the bible, so it does not matter what it says. Why is it that you are going to own slaves, what if the slave is you? Would you still encourage it?

When I get married, can I also get concubines? I mean gods righteous prophets had them.

Edit: So Pilgrim and Rocky Road have no problem being beaten by their employers as its ok in the Bible? I can see why someone would want to beat them too.

I'm not sure where you live, but where I live, slavery is against the law of the land, and Christians are to live within the laws of the land.
