Depending on the amount, no. I've done light drinking afterwards - it's become a tradition for me to go out to expensive Italian or Japanese after each session. I checked with my artist first and she (and others in the shop) said it's fine.

They did comment on the things others did - too much might promote more bleeding (it didn't; one night I didn't go out), and falling down drunk can be bad if you fall on the tattoo.

I treat my new ink like glass, so I keep it to one drink per meal if sake, 2 if wine (that stuff is like milk to my Italian blood).

Not unless you mess with the tattoo while you're drinking.

i don't think so. it must not because it never fails that my artist tries to get me to go out drinking after getting tattooed. AS IF i want to go out after being tortured for three hours. i just want to go home and lay on the couch in front of the t.v.!!

No. The main reason you're not supposed to drink is if you're still bleeding, alcohol can cause you to bleed more.

no, just dont drink before hand, if you drink before hand you will bleed alot, and the pigment wont suck up the ink.

That all depends on what you happen to engage in after drinking. If you are like me, and drinking leads to moshing, you may want to keep it to a couple of drinks. Just to be on the safe side..........

yes and no, it can make your blood thin which will make you bleed which will make you scab and if you pick that scab you will uproot the color of your tatoo. Hope that helped.
