Rev Kip - The moon God, WTF? and you're a non secular chief? Explains lots on the subject of the approach of a marvelous type of Christians obtainable... *Shakes Head* Do you no longer comprehend that Muslims (and a marvelous type of Jews) hint the origins of Islam back to the 1st baby of Abraham, who God additionally pronounced might the be the father of a super people? So do you carry it against Jesus that his mum and dad weren't christian? on account that Mohammed based the religion, of course he became born right into a different one. and those loopy reference you made on the subject of the pagan daughters he allegedly worshiped, you're able to desire to learn slightly greater. Mohommed certainly denouced all scripture related to them as "The Satanic Verses" and pronounced such ideals had no place in a monotheistic relgion. anyhow, directly to answering the question. undergo in concepts, I communicate of the wider Christian approach, and not the certainly faith itself which preaches tolerance of others... Christianity has never liked different religions. to comprise Judaism. every physique remember the Inquisition? Or the actuality that Pope John Paul II admitted that the church bore some duty for the holocaust because of the fact of that is intolerence of Jews? Ever heard the age old tale that we use the blood of a christian harmless to make our passover matzah? Christians prefer to piggy backtrack of our faith so they have a love hate courting with us, yet overall can no longer denounce us because of the fact they did borrow our God and not any incorrect way around. The directly out hate for Muslims comes from the actuality that on a similar time as Jews only would desire to get with this technique, Islam became formed after the dying and hoopla of Jesus. we don't prefer to grandfather clause him in, yet they outright rejected him. Oh, that and Christians look an intollerant lot because it incredibly is (lots to Jesus's chagrin, i'm beneficial).

Supposedly, two thousand years ago God ordered Jews kill every Christians. One thousand year ago God ordered Christians kill Muslims. I wrote that because I think God never order kill anybody. Men are who say God ordered that. God is love, and mercy.

Here is your answer
That verse refers to a specific incidence,
If it is said: "What about the verse of the Qur'an which says {kill the unbelievers wherever you find them} and the Sahih Hadith which says 'I have been ordered to fight against the people until they testify'?"
We say: It is well known among scholars that the following verse,
{fa-qtulU l-mushrikIna Haythu wajad-tumUhum}
{kill the idolaters wherever you find them}(al-Tawba, 9:5)
is in reference to a historical episode: those among the Meccan Confederates who breached the Treaty of Hudaybiyya [Sulh al-Hudaybiyya] which led to the Victory of Mecca [Fath Makka], and that therefore, no legal rulings, or in other words, no practical or particular implications, can be derived from this Verse on its own. The Divine Irony and indeed Providence from the last part of the Verse, {wherever you find them} - which many of our mufassirs understood in reference to place (i.e., attack them whether inside the Sacred Precinct or not) - is that the victory against the Meccans happened without a single battle taking place, whether inside the Sacred Precinct or otherwise, rather, there was a general amnesty [wa-mannun 'alayhi bi-takhliyati sabîlihi or naha 'an safki d-dima'] for the Jâhilî Arabs there. Had the Verse not been subject to a historical context, then you should know that it is of the general type ['amm] and that it will therefore be subject to specification [takhsîs] by some other indication [dalîl]. Its effect in lay terms, were it not related to the Jahilî Arabs, is that it can only refer to a case during a valid war when there is no ceasefire.
The Command to fight Those Who fight Muslims and killing Them wherever They are found
Abu Ja`far Ar-Razi said that Ar-Rabi` bin Anas said that Abu Al-`Aliyah commented on what Allah said:
(And fight in the way of God those who fight you,)
Abu Al-`Aliyah said, "This was the first Ayah about fighting that was revealed in Al-Madinah. Ever since it was revealed, God's Messenger used to fight only those who fought him and avoid non-combatants. Later, Surat Bara'ah (chapter 9 in the Qur'an) was revealed.'' `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said similarly, then he said that this was later abrogated by the Ayah:
(then kill them wherever you find them) (9:5).
However, this statement is not plausible, because God's statement:
(...those who fight you) applies only to fighting the enemies who are engaged in fighting Islam and its people. So the Ayah means, `Fight those who fight you'
So please, do not do what the extremists are doing and misintrepret what the Qu'ran is saying. The Scholars (of which I quoted a modern and classical one) have explained what this means.
We as Muslims are only allowed to fight those who are fighting us. And that first verse is already explained that it was referring to the taking over the Mecca from the Pagan Arabs who used to torture and humiliate the Muslims.
[060:008] God does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, God loves those who deal with equity.
[060:009] It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that God forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zâlimûn (wrong doers – those who disobey God).
Peace Be With You

that surah is talkinng about war and ethics of fighting and not general , those verses were sent down after makkah tribes betrayed their tereaty with muslims, and though the merciful prophet didn't kill them and he entered mekkah with no blood shed!!
don't get confused with verses which speak about fighting, muslims are ordered to treat all ppl kindly even if they were in debates , especially ppl of the book ( christians and jews). cuz we have with them many in common!!!

For the same reason that God orders the first born of Egyptians killed. It was at a certain time, for a specific reason. That's still in the bible too. If you're going to try to mar religion, you really should take a look at all of the religious texts, not just one of them.

sigh...you don't understand it so dont make assumptions, because we all know what that would make you...it only says that we should do that if they threaten our religion. what religion wouldn't defend itself? and its talking about a battle in history, so it's still there so that we can remember the event, just like they teach history in school.

Either the Koran is contradicting itself, kill didn't mean literally kill, or the Muslims want to look like a religion of "peace".
