Luck is being at the right place at the right time.
Some folks work hard all their lives and never got anywhere.
Some people never work hard but are very successful.
I worked hard all my life...went to college and went through hell to land a job as a computer programmer; my kid sister always hated school and never went to college; now she makes four times my salary.

Luck is all about preparation. i discovered this playing pro baseball. If you prepare yourself, stand in the right place, research the other players, work out, practice, you can appear to get really lucky. If you are sleeping on the field you will never get lucky.
Luck is about manipulating the odds.
