If youre trading in the same name as you were made bankrupt in (company or individual name) you should be able to trade straight after the bankruptcy. There will be restrictions on how much credit you can get without consent of the court (ie no more than £500) so this may affect your abiltity to get suppliers if its that kind of business. Some people may not want to trade with you because in certain circumstances you need to declare to them that youre an undischarged bankrupt. You will need the courts permission to carry on trading I think. You can get the lowdown from your local official receivers office. Your local court can tell you where that is.
