First of all you need to go to a doctor and get a prescription for an antibiotic before it gets worse. Then you should drink a lot of water and cranberry juice. Get some rest also.

A kidney infection??!! Regardless if you view it as mild, your body views it as an infection period. Cranberry juice is only a way to supress symptoms of urinary tract infections (UTI) and used as a preventative measure of UTIs. If you have a kidney infection you need to go to the doc asap. It can get progressively worse and lead to bigger problems. I'm a nursing student and people who are in the hospital for days to weeks wish that they would have came in earlier for their conditions. I would not rely on a home remedy to "cure" your infection. Your body needs antibiotics to rid this infection and stop it before your kidneys decrease in function which can lead to kidney failure --> not fun.
