The Christians require the blood of a human sacrfice to obtain forgiveness of sin. So the answer to your question is yes. Further you have to believe that a specific person came to shed that blood, yet he was not really a human but a god, yet still human. I know very confusing. I still dont get it.

The whole idea of 'sacrifice' is a remarkably strange piece of magical thinking. It presumably arises out of the conviction that builds up in people, that in order to gain you usually have to lose something first.

This gets extended to the - considerably more daft - idea that by voluntarily losing something, you'll actually cause something good to happen. Need rain for your crops? Destroy a perfectly good piece of livestock, and it'll just magically happen. Need something *really* big, *really* badly? Boil one of your own children!

How deranged can you get?

One assumes the ancients realised that this whacko pseudo-logic couldn't be explained as some sort of universal law of Conservation of Nastiness, so they rationalise it by suggesting that God - presumably alone among entities with a sense of smell - really likes the odour of burning flesh and hair. He finds it 'pleasing', apparently. So wars much be like air-freshener - all those burning babies, yummy!

But, according to Christians, we don't have to do that anymore. You have to wonder why not. Has the stench of burned flesh lost its charm? Or maybe, with all the humans being fried daily, all over the world, it's become a little overpowering.

Actually it's animal sacrifice replaced by a sort of divine auto-cannibalism, in which God begets Himself as a human being so that He can be sacrificed to Himself, sate Himself on His own blood, and thus let the rest of the humans off the hook for feeding him with animal blood.

Yeah, it's pretty sick stuff.

Yes, it is ewww. Because of our disobedience to the will of God, an innocent animal had to die. Just shows you how really horrible sin really is to God.

But never fear, God created the creature and He can certainly bring forth life again.

Jesus' death and His shed blood has atoned for all sins once and for all. No more animal sacrifices are necessary.

The Creator can do anything He wants with what He has created.

What was once required as a sacrifice for sin, was done once and for ever by Christ for us. He is the foundation God provided to build the church of the faithful.

No. Our sins are forgiven because God gave his Son to die on the Cross. But that is not the core of it. You must accept God into your heart and believe in him. Ask forgiveness for your sins. It's very simple.

no. have you ever went to a "christian" church and seen a animal or human sacrifice? i sure haven't. the things true christians sacrifice are praise and worship to a powerful, merciful, and loving God. a loving God would make a way for His children to enter paradise free of charge, despite the fact that they haven't "earned" it. grace is free and un-earnable. it is yours if you want it. you just have to call on the One who gives it freely - God's son, Jesus.

pretty simple actually - very beneficial for your spiritual life...:o)

The animals were to reperesent Jesus' sacrafice of himself so we could live in Heaven with Him if we believe in Him. His sacrafice was putting our sins on Him and seperating Himself from God so that we wouldn't have to do that. So, Christianity is about a loving God who loved the world so much that He gave His only Son.

You no longer have to sacrifice animals or people to have faith in God.

That was in the Old Testament. All you have to do now is believe in Jesus. He died for all our sins on the cross.
