There are no special diets, nutritional supplements, vitamins, nor proteins that have been proven to slow, stop, or in any way affect the graying process, although many have been marketed over the years. This may change in the near future, however. French scientists treating leukemia patients with a new cancer drug noted an unexpected side effect: some of the patients' pre-grey hair color had been restored.
A British Medical Journal study conducted by found that tobacco smoking may cause premature greying. Smokers were found to be four times more likely to begin greying prematurely, compared to nonsmokers in the study.

I got my completely white hair at age 24 after a bout with chemotherapy. Wrinkles- I don't have -I stayed out of the sun, didn't/don't smoke or drink, eat healthy food, Take a vitamin suppliment and have frequent facials to resurface my skin.

Thank you for this question. Since I am somewhat new to the internet, I have learned quite a bit just reading some of your responses. I will share what I have learned on my own so far, and as someone else said - online is not the only form of identity theft. The primary piece of information I protect the most, is my Social Security number. I don't even list it on my driver's license. As far as the internet, I have used a couple of free services that scan for threats; I don't open emails that I've never heard of (especially if there is a free offer I didn't request); I use case sensitive passwords that are strong; I change my passwords frequently and protect my usernames by not giving them out except to family & friends, and I do not duplicate them. Also, when I've ordered things online, I didn't use a credit card or check, but a money order instead.

You can't do anything about going gray except dye your hair to conceal the gray. Wear day cream with spf 15 (Oil of Olay makes a great everyday cream with spf 15) and always wear sun block when you're in the sun. Stress and of course smoking and sun exposure can cause early wrinkles so try to avoid all three if you can. Get plenty of sleep, exercise, eat a healthy diet and DON'T SMOKE!

this may sound silly, but i think premature graying of the hair is also caused by a wild and stressful lifestyle. Stay out of the sun to prevent premature aging of the skin- use high spf.

Just embrace it!

Well, to protect against skin aging, limit your time tanning or getting lots of sun exposure, and when you do go out for a long time, use a good sunblock. Don't smoke, either - that's a killer on the skin. If you do smoke, it's never too late to stop.

As for premature greying of the hair - there's not much you can do, as far as I know, other than using dye.

To prevent premature wrinkles you should stay out of the sun, use sunscreen all the time and moisturize your skin, not smoke. There is nothing to prevent going gray, it is all genetically predisposed- all you can do is to cover it with hair color.

I don't think you can do anything about the hair but start to dye it once it happens. It might be genetic. But the skin is a different issue. Use a moisturizer on your face and wear sunblock everyday. The sun is one of the major contributers to wrinkles. So just take care of your skin. You can get moisturizer with sunscreen to simplify life a bit.

There's nothing you can do to 'prevent' grey hair (unfortunately). As for wrinkles, a good sunscreen is the best way to prevent premature wrinkling (not to mention skin cancer).

Hair turns grey when the cells in the hair follicle stop producing pigment. Its mostly genetics that determine when this will happen. A good diet, refraining from too much sun exposure, not smoking and a good skin care regime will help keep your skin youthful. Um,,, if all this doesn't work a good plastic surgeon works wonders. LOL
