Well, I think you know the answer, but obviously it is not rock solid... just compare OT to NT.

Compare bible creation with atronomy and biology... scientific facts, and you'll find that the bible is untrue, however, it is still a good source for happiness in peoples lives therefore it serves its purpose (even if that purpose is a crutch)

I really just find it hard to believe that devout followers are unwilling to accept that fact that there were people who gained VAST amounts of wealth and power through its creation... and that scientists would be ecstatic to prove the existence of god, its just simply not the way of it, evidence is contrary to the bibles information.

How many people wrote the
dictionaries, encyclopedias
and any other forms of references.

How many times has these people
re-invented/ re-Interpreted all forms of
references.

So just how rock solid is all forms
of references?

To a religious person, the bible would be rock-solid.

Ignoring the fact that it was written by many people, most who didn't witness the events they write about, and parts were written anything up to 400 years after it 'occured'...

...this definition to any other historical document makes the document unreliable and open to bias and mis-interpretation...not for religious-folk though?!

Depends if you are talking about the actual book. Then it wouldn't be solid because the pages aren't glued together and there are thousands of space between the atoms. If you are talking about God's word written in the Bible than it is even more solid than rock. Base your life on it. and you won't find a firmer of a foundation.

Only the non-believers interpret it to what they want to see.
It is rock solid! Just believe!

I don't think they re-invent it. But the re-interpretation is an on going process. That will never end.

the Bible is reinvented all the time. Remember what happened to Galileo? I don't see any believers around claiming the world is flat anymore...even though the Bible still claims it is.
