There is a little risk if there is raw egg in the mix. May make you sick to your tummy. If you cant resist just dont eat the whole batch

The raw eggs can be harmful, some of the raw eggs may contain salmonella bacteria which can cause food poisoning. (Severe nausea, vomiting, pain)
Do I eat raw cake and cookie mix? Well, yes actually I do, but not a lot. I don't let the little ones eat it though. Most of the time eggs are fairly safe, and we used to eat raw egg in the old days, but why take a chance?
If you are pregnant or immune suppressed, I would say definitely avoid completely.

Of course it is. All the oven does is make the yeast rise, and warm. Nothing will happen to you if you eat cake mix before you bake it. It tastes the best not baked anyway.

If you are using raw eggs in your cake mix, I wouldn't eat it. You could just taste it a feew times but other than that it's not a good idea. What you could do is try the mix after you added everything else other than the eggs.

definitly !! I dont think anybody has ever baked a cake and not tasted the mix before hand.. or was that for the icing :)
I used to eat the raw biscuit mix my mom made.. it didnt taste bad at all :)
anyway, whats the worst that could happen ;)

Yes....but use caution because you are eating raw ingredients. There is a risk of getting sick. Ever since I was a kid (i'm 29) I've eaten raw cake mix...but only in moderation...I've never eaten the entre mix before and don't intend to either....

Depends on the mix and your stomach. Don't eat the whole batter. Depending on the eggs, also. People only eat raw eggs in emergency situations

When I was a kid we always use clean the beaters or spoons but I imagine there was always a slight risk we never thought about seeing it does have raw eggs in it. I never got sick but maybe it is just a Russian Roulette kind of thing.

I assume you mean after you've mixed it with oil, water, eggs...whatever you were supposed to add.
Some people say no because of the raw eggs and the potential for bacteria. I say go ahead and lick the spoon! (but to be safe, I suppose you shouldn't)
