Not unless you take extremely high doses and that could cause you to have a heart attack, so don't do it. It may cause headaches and excessive sweating too

Thyroid meds in normal doses do not cause weight loss usually. They stop one from gaining if they are hypothyroid.

If you should take the hormones, you may cause damage to the thyroid gland and while you had planned on increasing your metabolism.....longterm you may actually be slowing it down and you may become hypothyroid yourself. Once hypothyroid, you will have an extremely difficult time losing weight and you'll be plagued with some of these symptoms too; constipation, muscle and joint aches, dry skin, dry thinning hair, low body temp, low blood pressure, slow heart rate, brittle ridged fingernails, infertility, depression, fatigie, sensitivity to light, decreased sex drive, and headache

I don't even know what that is.

But.... you should never take anyone else's medication. And - if it is some over the counter weight loss stuff - then definitely don't take it.

The only way to safely lose weight is to consume fewer calories and exercise more.

If you take a pill and it helps you lose weight, then it is probably doing harm to some important part of your body, such as your heart.

No Synthroid does not cause weight lose. It only regulates the thyroid. When the thyroid not properly regulated it can cause people to gain weight, Getting it regulated is what caused the weight loss not the pill itself. Since your thyroid is fine it would not do a thing for you except cause problems.

It will give you hyperactive thyroid if your thyroid is functioning normally. Bulging eyes, weight loss, sweating, skin conditions, and lots of other unpleasant symptoms come with a hyperactive thyroid. Synthroid is meant for people with either no thyroid or a low functioning one to replace the function of a normal thyroid gland. Weight loss could occur, but there are safer ways and medications to achieve it.

Yes. For a while. Then, because your thyroid gland isn't producing thyroid hormones (because your body has all it needs from the synthroid), it will shrivel up and die.

Then, you're really screwed.
