i downloaded xubuntu and it worked fine, but when i restarted it gave me that new hard drive screen, as if i didnt have an operating system....how do i get a version of xubuntu that stays on your hd without having to put the dam disk in
and how do i get linux..i went to their site and i got nothing

When you start Xubuntu on the CD, you will find an icon on the desktop that says "Install", just click on it and it will install the operating system (Xubuntu) for you :)
