Yes. These were formed during the Flood. It doesn't take millions of years for coal, gas and oil to form. It can be formed in only a few decades. Before the Flood, there were massive amounts of vegetation and animals. These were destroyed in the Flood, and buried by sediment. During the Flood, these huge downed trees would float in giant mats, and the bark would fall off, and settle to the bottom, just like at Spirit Lake at Mt. St. Helens, forming layers that, under great heat and pressure, would form coal. Some evolutionists think that there is so much coal mass, that it would take an immense amount of time to form. This is not true if the pre-Flood flora was far, far more dense than that of today. Another point that proves that the layers cannot be millions of years are the polystrate fossils; petrified trees running vertically through hundreds of layers of solid rock. These trees did not stand there for millions of years waiting for the next layer to be put down. They would have long since rotted. Not to mention, some of these trees are upside-down, and their roots are exposed. These trees were buried in a massive, worldwide Flood, in sediment, which later turned to rock. In fact, almost all fossils, except for those found in coal, amber and minerals, are found in sedimentary rock. That means they were buried. Fossils can only form if the animal is buried quickly. Fossils will not form if the animal just dies and lays down. The body will be scavenged and the bones scattered, and rot.
Human artifacts have been found in coal; with fossils of supposedly much older species; solid rock, etc., which proves that humans existed just before the coal, rocks and fossils were produced. Evolutionists dismiss these as hoaxes (even though they can readily be examined) because they are still stuck on the idea that the earth is "millions of years old", and they refuse to let it go. Evolution is a hindrance to true science.

During the Flood? Some people on here make fun of Creation yet they have no idea what it's theories are. They only wish for evolution to be true, because without it we are only left with Creation.

Creationists, have the same evidence as evolution does. Same dinosaurs, fossils and earth. It is all about what you believe that makes you interperet the way they do.

Some people really need to grow up and get a hobby, they are doing no one any good, by insulting creationists, they are making us look good, and them look stupid and immature...

All of those appeared after the Flood,

Read it, before you diss it.

First of all, I am an evolutionist, and I believe the Earth to be 5 billion years old.

So called "Fossil Fuels" are not derived from fossils. This is a myth. The "fossil" fuels coagulated into the Earth as it formed.

Recent NASA flybys of other planets have found methane, and numerous other hydrocarbons in quantities that easily outweigh all the "fossil" fuels on Earth combined.

So these other planets had dinosaurs once? I don't think so. See:

Not very different from the explanation of full-fledged animals: they were created as they are.
On the other hand, some believe the upheavals caused by the universal flood could have accelerated the pressure process of producing these things.
(Diamonds included, form coal).
Another explanation could be that in the instant creation on the first day, the earth was void and without form, God could have made it go through some tremendous upheavals there, who knows?
I don't think the problem lies so much in how it happened, once you believe God did it: we believers will say "Since God can do anything, where is the problem?" And non believers will accuse us of responding to everything: "God did it". And they will be perfectly right. God did it.

The Lord Challenges Job
1 Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind:
2 “Who is this that questions my wisdom
with such ignorant words?
3 Brace yourself like a man,
because I have some questions for you,
and you must answer them.

4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell me, if you know so much.
5 Who determined its dimensions
and stretched out the surveying line?
6 What supports its foundations,
and who laid its cornerstone
7 as the morning stars sang together
and all the angels[a] shouted for joy?

8 “Who kept the sea inside its boundaries
as it burst from the womb,
9 and as I clothed it with clouds
and wrapped it in thick darkness?
10 For I locked it behind barred gates,
limiting its shores.
11 I said, ‘This far and no farther will you come.
Here your proud waves must stop!’

12 “Have you ever commanded the morning to appear
and caused the dawn to rise in the east?
13 Have you made daylight spread to the ends of the earth,
to bring an end to the night’s wickedness?
14 As the light approaches,
the earth takes shape like clay pressed beneath a seal;
it is robed in brilliant colors.[b]
15 The light disturbs the wicked
and stops the arm that is raised in violence.

16 “Have you explored the springs from which the seas come?
Have you explored their depths?
17 Do you know where the gates of death are located?
Have you seen the gates of utter gloom?
18 Do you realize the extent of the earth?
Tell me about it if you know!

19 “Where does light come from,
and where does darkness go?
20 Can you take each to its home?
Do you know how to get there?
21 But of course you know all this!
For you were born before it was all created,
and you are so very experienced!

22 “Have you visited the storehouses of the snow
or seen the storehouses of hail?
23 (I have reserved them as weapons for the time of trouble,
for the day of battle and war.)
24 Where is the path to the source of light?
Where is the home of the east wind?

25 “Who created a channel for the torrents of rain?
Who laid out the path for the lightning?
26 Who makes the rain fall on barren land,
in a desert where no one lives?
27 Who sends rain to satisfy the parched ground
and make the tender grass spring up?

28 “Does the rain have a father?
Who gives birth to the dew?
29 Who is the mother of the ice?
Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens?
30 For the water turns to ice as hard as rock,
and the surface of the water freezes.

31 “Can you direct the movement of the stars—
binding the cluster of the Pleiades
or loosening the cords of Orion?
32 Can you direct the sequence of the seasons
or guide the Bear with her cubs across the heavens?
33 Do you know the laws of the universe?
Can you use them to regulate the earth?

34 “Can you shout to the clouds
and make it rain?
35 Can you make lightning appear
and cause it to strike as you direct?
36 Who gives intuition to the heart
and instinct to the mind?
37 Who is wise enough to count all the clouds?
Who can tilt the water jars of heaven
38 when the parched ground is dry
and the soil has hardened into clods?

39 “Can you stalk prey for a lioness
and satisfy the young lions’ appetites
40 as they lie in their dens
or crouch in the thicket?
41 Who provides food for the ravens
when their young cry out to God
and wander about in hunger?

You scientist and intellectuals are so arrogant you still know not of the mysteries of life and never shall blessed be the name of the lord!!!

If your asking if religion can explain processes that have taken millions of years; yes.

The simple fact can be explained that if you God created the Earth, and everything else, why wouldn't he create a rich history behind it?
