Hello, I'm 18 and I have a question. You see, I have dark peach fuzz (vellus hair) on my chest and stomach. I wanna know if this is normal. I'm also mediterranean (Itlian). I checked on wikipedia about this and it said vellus hair is 2 cm or under, the hair on me and I'm talking about is under .5 cm. Also, when I get close to my body mirror I still can barely see it, and when I take just two or more steps back I still can't see it. I really see it if I lift up my shirt enough to see my stomach and I look down, wether I'm laying down or standing up. And again, it isn't very long at all (under half a cm long). So could anyone tell me if this is normal? Does it decrease as I get older? Thanks you!

Well I have peach fuzzz on my bottom, You cant see it at all but its there. I have also heard of one of my friends has peach fuz all over but you cant see it. I wouldn't worry about it too much it seems pretty normal. If you are worried you can always go to a doctor and ask advice. I am not sure if it will decrease with age I don't think so but I am unsure.

If you are female, then it is normal. If you are male, then it is normal also. The males torso hair should be longer and more prominent than the females torso hair but this depends upon your genetic predisposition. Italians do tend to have more visible hair than those from Northern Europe. Don't worry about it.

it sounds normal to me, but if your worried about it then check with a doctor, and if your italian the hair is known to be darker so its more noticable. good luck!
