cj - well actually Pac didn't manage a draw he won the fight but had it stolen from him.

Also nobody was paying to see JMM fight so he doesn't deserve anymore than 30%

pacman should have won that match, the judge admitted his mistake but still the results cannot be reversed.. marquez is so scared that he decided to fight barrera cause he knows that when he face the pacman his career will be over..but now that he has the title he could stay longer in the business..i admit marquez made a great comeback in the first fight by his great counter punches but i think it's not enough to make a draw..

now for the second fight (if ever marquez will be man enough to fight) let's see if he can still counter punch with the always improving pacman with more speed and more power

The Pacman is very fortunate that Marquez tasted the canvas three times in the first round. You knock a guy down three times and only manage a draw? Marquez scared of Pacquiao? Marquez was willing to take 40 - 60 split in a rematch. But the Pacquiao camp walked away from the table coming up with the excuse that Manny wanted to fight other opponents. Pacman beware Marquez is waiting for you.....

Marquez is now a champion and that brings marquee value to his name. He commands at least a 40 - 45% split in the purse if Manny ever decides to risk his belt and fight a man he couldn't beat after having him down 3 times in the first round. Who has Manny beaten? A shot Morales who by the way boxed Manny's ears off a couple of years ago to win a decision? Barrera who is getting up there in "fighters" years and he's been through the wars. Fellas Marquez is the ONLY worthy opponent out there for Pacquaio, and I believe Pacquaio is hesitant to give him a rematch.

When you get knocked down three times in one round, the fight is usally not a draw. Manny faded bad against Marquez after a blistering first round, so I can't see how Marquez could fear him. If anyone is questioning themselves after that fight, it's Pacquiao, not Marquez. I give Marquez all the respect in the world, almost anyone else would have quit after the beating he took it round one. He might suprise Manny and simply pick up where he left off and win the next one.

Your answer is no, Marquez doesn't fear Pacquiao.

whats up Martin, exciting article. i do no longer understand if Manny is fearful of Marquez at every time of his occupation, yet i've got self assurance at this 2d, Manny isn't confident Marquez might additionally be a aggressive combat. With all due appreciate to you as an asker and to Marquez as an impressive boxer, Marquez might get destroyed. Even in the previous getting right into a combat with Manny at one hundred forty or bigger, he could be extra effective than 7-a million underdog in my view. How can that be aggressive in any respect? No way Marquez could be a commonly used to conquer Manny right this moment. i've got self assurance Marquez grow to be the extra perfect and extra experienced fighter in the previous. perhaps Pacquaio some years in the past felt Marquez grow to be a threat. besides the shown fact that, your article grow to be revealed at 2010. certainly, I disagree that Pacquaio even has a comfortable concern of Marquez whilst he himself negotiated to combat Mayweather who's the main deadly fighter Pacquaio will ever face in his finished occupation.

Definitely. Marquez has been ducking Pacquiao for almost three years now. First, he priced himself out of the rematch and fed him to Morales, instead. I don't know what excuse he will cook up this time. I think Pacman wins by a 4th-round knockout this time. Marquez will NEVER beat the Great Manny Pacquiao.

After his win against Marco Antonio Barrera. They may be a schedule for a rematch on September. And a fight against Manny Paquiao may push through if JMM wins again against MAB. JMM is in no fear of 'Manny', and he loves the 'Money' that Manny may bring. This sure will bring both guys the big buck$$$ since they are atop in their division. Plus the controversy during their unfinished business is fueling enough to make their next meeting a blockbuster fight everyone is begging to see.

Manny put no fear in his up and coming opponents, in fact every fighter in his division wants a shot on him. It's because of the money MP may bring to the fight. Jorge Arce, for example, a champion at a lighter weight class seemed kiddingly asking Manny to fight him for as long as he can earn big bucks during their separate fights at Mandalay Bay highlighting Erik and Manny's second duel. Manny doesn't want the other fighter to be hurt badly as he always express during interviews, pre fights, and post fights. He said that he always pray that no one may get hurt badly during the fight.

Juan Manuel Marquez is the better fighter on their first fight. He showed his heart and the best of JMM in that fight! He's a hell of a fighter! Manny Paquiao put out the best in him. After the 3 knockdowns, his spirit was renewed and realized that MP can't just knock him out of that fight easily and figured out how to avoid the ever predictable facial hammer, that is the left hand of MP, a one-fisted fighter. He then took MP to school and boxed with him intelligently. He should have won the fight if only one of the knockdowns was avoided.

If an immidiate rematch happened early on, JMM could have ran away with a lopsided victory ending in 12 rounds just like how Erik Morales won his first fight with MP.

But JMM and MP both improved a lot!

JMM's counterpunching expertise is now aided with improved offensive boxing skill as we've all witnessed in his previous fight with MAB where he unleashed more jabs and connected more power shots than MAB. He is more flexible right now that he can initiate the attack or be at the defensive end, and grab the opportunity to counterpunch and hit hard.

MP's lethal weapon, the thundering left hand, along with speed and the much improved right jab, after being schooled by EM in the first fight of their trilogy, is already in chemistry. He's boxing skill has improved remarkably and the frightening thing is that it is still improving. From their first fight on, those jabs improved accurately and turned MP into a more dangerous offensive fighter. The young gun who has speed and power is quickly learning how to use his right hand to get along with his left hand. Technical boxing skill being instilled by top trainer Freddie Roach is gradually developed in him. EM the legendary boxer, also had his way of teaching him the basics and the advanced knowledge necessary to put him into the pedestal of boxing. He has learned and improved impressively from their three fights. He has experienced fighting from these best mexican fighters Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, and Juan Manuel Marquez. From each of them, he learned different, important things.

Both are impressive with their fights against the two of the great mexican fighters MAB and EM. Few contest the win of JMM against MAB, but more boxing anlysts see it to be a deserved win for JMM. On the other hand, MP's last two fights with EM.. convincing and undisputable since both are won by TKO.

JMM is the more skilled and defensive fighter, 'the boxer'. MP is the quicker more powerful fighter, 'the bomber'. If MP lands those powerful lefts, there is no doubt that he can knock JMM out. If JMM can frustrate MP by his jabs and not let MP pull his left bomb on him, he probably can open MP and and pull his own hard punches and knock MP out too. If the rematch will be a boxing match it will probably be JMM's win but if it will turn out to be a brawl, a give and take punching display, it will probably be on MP's side.

Their previous fight put a lot of questions of who has convincingly beat who? MP explained not knocking JMM out even if JMM was knocked down three times in the first round, because his foot was suffering from sprain already in the third round, and also, his left hand was also already painful hurting it from his hard lefts during the first round. But, would have JMM not being knocked down thrice in the first round, MP could have been boxed out by JMM or even won the fight by TKO with more power in his tank.

A rematch to this day will be much different, after the two fighters improved since their first fight. Yes, they both improved, but the improvement of MP has taken a leap. I don't think EM can't fight anymore, it's just that MP has improved so much that he is no match for him now that manny developed a lot. MP's power is too much for EM.. too much for MAB.. And ye answer, Is he not too much for JMM? considering that those lefts would now land on JMM even after the first round because MP has the ability to use both hands now. Remember that he is not the one-fisted fighter no more.

My prediction for a rematch now. MP will slug it out in the early rounds, JMM will do the counter since MP is the heavier bomber. JMM will try to tire MP getting busy with his jab and counter punching to frustrate his gameplan. But MP as a pesky stubborn fighter will land his right jabs from few to many making way for his left bomb to unload. Feeling those shots, JMM will fight back and show that he also has the power and he is the better fighter in the ring. The fight will then turn into a brawl, survival of the fittest, where MP has the advantage in speed, leverage, and powerof unloading those heavier bombs than JMM's. A mid fight TKO or thru the later rounds for MP. Another sensational boxing match surely it will be.
