No, they're not scared of you. They either pity you or they abhor you.
Either is an acceptable response to have towards people whose only means of drawing attention to themselves is to:
A) Copy the latest fashion trend (dressing like all their emo buddies in an effort to be "unique" - instead of looking the word up in the dictionary and realizing that by doing this they are anything but.)
B) Talking about how depressed they are (depression is a real illness, and can be fatal. It's kinda sad that people would want to claim depression just to look cool or to fit in.)
C) Talking about suicide all the time (do it already and shut up. Remember, it's not across the road or down the street - it's through the jugular.) You think no one cares now? What makes you think they're going to care when you're gone?
D) Cutting themselves. Wow, now that's just smart.
Remember... people don't hate Emos because of who they are. They hate them because they act so stupid. Oh, and because they're so whiny.

Who cares if they are scared of you. Thats better then someone picking on you.
