I'm going to dye my hair a darker, but I don't want the color to be that vibrant. If I leave it in for less time will it look bad or will it just be less intence of a color?

yes it will turn out a weird color. for the first 10 the color is depositing, then for the next it is oxidizing. you need the complete time! too long won't effect the color because it kinda shuts itself off, but you need to get another color then if you don't want it that dark

It will definitately be less intense, but it also may not be the exact color that you are expecting, and if you are trying to cover gray hair, it may not have enough time to process. You might be better off going with a semi-permanemt hair color to achieve the look you want.

You may not get as good of coverage- try buying a lighter shade or less intense color instead of keeping it on for shorter period of time.

i think if you wait less than 30minutes, it may turn to an awful color. chose the color exactly you want and wait for the time as it says in its constuctions
