I was having a really bad day today. My mom was in surguery and i was really upset with that. During science class, i started to feel really sick. My face got all pale and started to turn green. Then all of a sudden I ran out of the classroom and threw up. A bunch of people watched me throw up. All of these people followed me and I was completely humilated. Now I'm really sick and very embarassed. How can i feel better about this???

There's nothing to be embarassed about. I bet they were concerned about you. Would you make fun of someone in the same position as you? Probably not...try to relax and focus on your mom getting better.

You don't need to feel embarrassed about having normal feelings of fear that came out in a physical reaction. If you had appendicitis or something and threw up and got rushed to the hospital, would you still be embarrassed? You were holding in your fear and were nervous and it culminated in you getting physically ill. Does anyone know what was happening with your Mom? Did anyone ask you what was wrong? Of course nobody wants their classmates see them go through this, but if the kids have any class they'll either understand or realize it's none of their business and think about how they'd feel if it was THEM. What would YOU think if this happened to someone else and you witnessed it? Wouldn't you just feel bad for them and not judge? I know kids can be really cruel and laugh at another's problems, but if they do, they are just NOT COOL and please try not to worry about what they think. If anyone says anything mean or sarcastic to you about this incident, just tell them it's none of their business and realize how juvenile their behavior is and try to rise above it.

I feel for you, hon, I've been there. I hope your Mom is okay. Keep your head held high, you're only human.

You have to learn to laugh at yourself. Then you can move on.
Once I was class and I farted SO FREAKING loud. I had been holding it in, but couldn't any longer. So it ripped right out of me. I hear this girl go on the other side of the room go "EWWWWW" so I pretended that my stomach hurt bad so I can leave. Thank goodness it was a Friday...gave myself two days to get over it laugh at myself and wah-la. Came back brand spankin' new on Monday and no one mentioned it.

I think vomiting is better than farting really loud.lol.
