The theory of evolution is a threat to the bible. The theory of gravity is not. Thats the only difference.

The theory of evolution has nine letters and the theory of gravity has only seven. One says the earth was created with " Bang" the other says that an apple fell on Newton's head with a bang. Gravity keeps objects down to earth and evolution is out of this world. Without gravity things won't be stuck to earth and without evolution the earth wouldn't be stuck together.
P.S. I'm not an evolutionist, the only Big Bang I believe in is when God said the word and BANG it was there.

one deals with evolution and the other with gravity, but they are both scientific theories. gravity is just easier to comprehend.

The theory of gravity doesn't offend religious people, so it's ok to teach it.
I've heard of Ohm's law, but never the "Law of Gravity". Funny, that.

Gravity is physics. Evolution is biology. Otherwise equally solid science.

Annnnd cue the Christians trying to claim Gravity is a law...
Theories never become laws.
Theories do not become 'laws' when they are 'proven'.
Science cannot, and does not, prove ANYTHING. Science operates entirely on the principle of disproving what is false, akin to Sherlock Holmes, "When all else is eliminated, whatever remains, no matter how strange, must be the truth."

It's called the "law of gravity". And there's the difference. Some people, a little less scientifically inclined, but more vocal, would probably like to talk about the "law of evolution", but it is not self-evident. It is a theory, according to serious scientists.

The theory of Evolution is called a theory for many reasons, but the LAW of gravity is called the law of gravity because it cannot be truthfully contradicted and for the fact that one cannot go anywhere in space without being affected by it.

Gravity isn't a theory. It is a law. "The law of gravity." Evolution is a theory. It still needs to be proven in order to become a law. Even pro-evolutionists know that. That also doesn't disprove evolution, either. It is a theory of what could have been.
