Yes that big lake on the East Lanks road - Carr Mill Dam does allow speed boats - they are a real pain in the backside to all the Anglers - I wish they didn't allow you nutters on lakes - isn't the bloomin Sea big enough Pal ?

If you mean by speedboats that they will be used for waterskiing, then why not try contacting Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club, at Carr Mill dam behind the Waterside Hotel on the East Lancs Road in St Helens. The whole club will be meeting there on the first race of our season on the 1st of April 2007, meeting starts at around 12noon.

Berenda Reservoir if you go there when the gates open up, 7am, there isn't a soul around and this is one awesome place to run your speedboat.

I have a Sanger Bubblenose flatbottom. I use it mainly for waterskiing at this lake.

The NHRA has raced here in the past. Usually on Memorial Day. But I do not see it on there schedule for this year.
