The one who eats at the table, in that culture, is the victor from a battle. This is a poetic simile that after the end of all things, we will be more than conquorors.

it means that God makes us to prosper even when we're surrounded by enemies, that we have His favor no matter what the circumstances. We must trust Him & believe His promises.
