How do I keep the wet hair look?

I have wavy hair (I'm puertorican (latino)) and I style it effectively with the bedhead look. I get out of the shower (hot water usually) I dry my hair, but not too much, I mousse it up, but by midday the look is gone and my hair looks unkempt... when its style i can pretty much see my scalp since the hair is nicely organized but when not, all I see is a mess of hair... HELP!! I have a date tomorrow :(

Spray gel works really well. You can also try Aussie's mousse. It works really well. It maintains the "wet" look. I use spray gel or even regular gel. It all works great. Have some back-up gel in the car for emergencies too. That way you can touch it up whenever you need to!

I usually go a couple times a day to the bathroom, and wet my hair some more to get the mousse a little wetish and get the look to stay fresh. Or just try applying a gellyish type mousse after lunchtime.
