I am 24, boyfriend is the same age. We spend most of our time together, at least 6 out of 7 days a week we stay together at either one of our apts. We have our off time, he has his weekend days where he's out playing paintball with buddies and video game time with friends. I have time with my girls as well. So seemingly, things are pretty stable and we enjoy the time together that we have and still make time for our friends. Issue: Occasionally and randomly -he will request a day/night that he spend alone. It throws me off because I know that he enjoys our time together, no doubts about it. And I feel that we have ample time apart where we can enjoy ourselves without the other. So when he requests more time away from me and to be "alone" it hurts my feelings. He acts strangely when I express my disappointment in not seeing him; he becomes defensive. Does anyone have this issue or possibly have insight? What is with this "alone time" business? And I'm not a clingy chick so don't assume.

dont take it the wrong way. im the same way sometimes we just want to be alone with no one around. dont take it as if he was cheating on you. he just wants his own time to think to himself, rest, look into his time with you. i assure you that he is thinking of you when hes alone.

Sorry - can't help too much - I enjoy alone time away from my bf too. I've lived alone for the past 3 yrs and while I was with my ex he was very rarely home. If he needs some personal space occasionally don't worry about it. If you push the issue you could push him away.

well he may be with someone else but who knows. see if u are able to get in contact with him easily during his alone time. if u can then he is not cheating. he may just be doin this to get away for himself and not fall into what most relationships do and that is being tired of one another quickly and there is ntohing new to talk about cause u are alwasy together
