My boyfriend wrote me a text message that said " Me and Angela [his ex-wife] have decided to work things out so that means we cant talk any more". How messed up is that?

This is an excellent example of why you are lucky to no longer be dating him. Don't date people who clearly have no sense of human respect for others in how they handle themselves.

Pretty lame and cowardly. I was involved with someone that communicated mostly through text messages and emails and would never do anything personal to my face. I don't know if it was because he was shy or just had a hard time dealing with things on an emotional level. Regardless of the reasons, it hurt very much that I wasn't important enough for a face to face. Move on. This guy sounds like a jerk and you are better off without him. Find someone who is worthy of your time and love.

That is messed up man and so unfair! I know because its happened to me, the worst was when I was with a guy and he ended up going out with the girl that he was going out with before me, which he remained 'friends' with when we were going out, but when he finished with me, it wasn't appropriate for me to be 'friends' with him. Double Standards or what. As for your situ I would suggest that you contact him and ask him for a proper chat about it, its not fair that he just text you, you might be upset or want to ask questions but you've not been given the chance. It could be that his ex-wife has put a stop to it, they can be very manipulative especially if there is children involved. If he doesn't credit you with a reasonable explanation then I would wait a while and then get even with him in some way, but don't get in trouble. This will make you feel better and give you a giggle. Try www.revengelady.com for ideas. The guy sounds like a loser anyway, for god's sake ex means ex why is he getting back with her, why get divorced in the first place. Good luck!

What a douche-bag!! No, that's never appropriate! Reminds me of the Sex in the City episode where Carrie gets dumped on a Post-It! But you are better off, any guy who doesn't have the common decency or the cojones to break up with you in person is someone you are better off without anyway.

It is very wrong in reality. I mean really, you two used to be together and had a bond, then he just up and dumps you via text message. Don't trip on it; if he didn't have enough honesty and respect to tell you personally, he wasn't a good boyfriend anyway. I've been there (except with a girlfriend of course!) and I hope this helps.

How rude! Well, he needs to learn a thing or two about break up etiquette. Have you seen the "Sex and the City" episode where Carrie gets broken up with on a post-it? If not, it will give you a good laugh.

At any rate, be glad you are rid of this drip. You deserve much better!

hell no!!!! it is definitely not appropriate - he was dead wrong for that! do not contact this man ever again because the mere fact that he text you a message and wasnt man enough to tell you face to face after you and he had a whole relationship that just sour! if he tries to reach you, call him back and see what he wants, if he wants to hook up for sex - tell him you found someone AND THEN HANG UP - you may have possibly loved him but YOU HAVE TO BE STRONG AND PROTECT YOUR HEART because he sounds like a game - i hate to be the one to tell you this but he may have been using you as a rebound but things like this happen to women everyday - you WILL get over it though you must make the decision to do so - keep yourself constructive and focus on improving your own life - its a blow in the face but just let that dog go his way because he doesnt deserve you - HE IS A TRICK!

You can't turn a dog into a husband. If he cheated on his wife. There is a possibility that He would cheat on you.

Similar thing happened to me. After this guy was lusting after me for 4 years...i finally gave him a chance and it didn't even last more than 2 months or so. Apparently he was still seeing his ex so I gave him an unltimatum. He weened himself away for 2 weeks to where we hardly ever spoke and next thing you know, I text him and he texts me back "who are you?" (which to my guess was his ex not him) and then I get a text saying that I'm too demanding and such-n-such...it's not working out.
It's never ok to to break up with someone over a text. EVER!!!
Cuz next you know I found out?! I was pregnant...with his kid.

What can I say except that men can be jerks? My ex-boyfriend did the same thing (on Valentines Day). My opinion is that it was cowardly and he didn't have the balls to tell me face to face. It is so IMMATURE!!! Sorry it happened to you.
