Because man was sinful he could not be joined to a righteous God and this caused a separation. The Bible teaches that the wages of sin is death. God is righteous and could not overlook sin as this would put him in agreement with sin. God had a plan for man before he created him and that plan was to come to the world int eh form of man Jesus Christ and to overcome temptation and to remain perfect and to pay the penalty of death for us so we can be joined with him in his righteousness.

Revelations 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolators, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death". Sin has no place with a Holy God. Jesus took our place on that cross and the sin of the world was laid upon Him. You can receive Him as your Savior and the Holy Spirit will teach you all things. You must have only the faith of a child, just because the Bible says so.

Jesus saved us from eternal slavery to Satan, sin, and death.

Man was alienated from God by sin.

Jesus became man to destroy Satan's evil dominion, and to make possible the forgiveness of man's sins, thereby reconciling man with God.

Satan legitimately acquired dominion over man through Adam's sin, so God could not simply come in and throw Satan out.

The only way Satan's evil dominion could be destroyed was through just punishment for an offense against God.

Under God's law, no one had the authority to take the life of an innocent and sinless man, let alone the only begotten son of God.

So Jesus became man, and he permitted Satan and his minions, the Jews and the Romans, to unjustly put him to death.

Satan was duly judged for his crime and stripped of all that he had gained from Adam's sin. The Jews and the Romans would expereiince their judgement in 70 AD and about 460 AD respectively.

Jesus was raised from the dead, awarded all power on heaven and earth, and appointed the new head of all mankind.

With Jesus in charge, Satan was through, God was more than willing to forgive man's sins, and our redemption had been accomplished.

The church carries on that work of redemption in the world today.

The wages of sin is death. Jesus, the seed of God, lived his entire life never sinning. He did this knowing that the wage of our sin could only be redeemed though a perfect sacrifice. He was that sacrifice. He cheated death, and death could not keep him. The devil tried to kill him, and played right into the plan of God. Everything Jesus said, every town he visited, his whole life, was prophesied and he did everything, because it "is written". That is why he died in the way he did, to fufill the word of God, which is without flaw. What God says has to happen. Our sin seperates us from God, because He cannot bear to even look at sin. Jesus covers us, he covers our sin, and gives us a way to be connected to God, through Him. Jesus says in Matthew 11, "My Father has handed everything over to me. Indeed, no one fully knows the Son except the Father and no one fully knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son wishes to reveal Him."

I agree w/Rocky...a perfect man (Adam) sentenced us all to death...and it took another perfect man (Jesus) to live the life God purposed (w/o sin) and die to show that a human can love God...so now God is giving us the opportunity to learn as much as we can about him, to love him and appreciate him for creating us...and it's taking some people a little longer than others...but, God is patient.

Eternity in the Lake of Fire.

Sin need blood atonement, the better the sacrifce, the more worthy to cover sin. Christ was the ultimate, and most perfect blood sacrifice.

Thats the answer from my faith anyway, even though many may not agree.
