I am not an outwardly religious person, but I need some good thoughts. My father-in-law (an exceptionally kind man), is having surgery tomorrow to repair an abdominal aortic aneurysm, and he needs prayers. His name is Al, and any prayers will be welcome. I don't care what faith you are, what God you pray to, even if you don't pray to a God at all, if you would take ten seconds out of your day and say something for a good outcome for him, I would be so appreciative. He is not old (not even 60), and I am so very worried about his health. I can't offer you anything in return, but I would hold you in my heart forever and pray for you to always have others remember you in bad times.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. 0 dearest Comforter of the Troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us.

Amen.

Father GOD we lift up Jan's father-in-law to you and we pray that the surgery tomorrow would go smoothly and the doctors would have the wisdom to locate and repair everything with ease. We ask for your mercy,Grace, peace and wisdom for all involved. I also lift up Jan to you and ask for your peace that defies all understanding. We pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

"Father God I ask that you would send your Holy Spirit to Al right now. I ask Holy Spirit that you would release your gifts of healing upon his body and touch his aorta right now. I ask that your healing touch would be felt by the aneurysm and that it would dissolve and release safely, right now. I ask this in Jesus Christ's Holy Name. Amen." :-) Prayed at 5:23 p.m. Eastern Time.

For whatever support it may be, I have added him to my random notes on my dry erase board and dated it for erasing for a week from today. Whenever I look over at my random notes, I will see his name and think of him for the next week.

I find this silly, but if it is meaningful to you, then it pleases me I can help.

I'll be praying for him & you & your family. just don't forget that hes not alone & go in it with positive thinking. (i know this might be REALLY hard, but try not to worry too much, everything will be alright.) Good luck to him & I hope he gets better soon after.
