I love to grill my steak!
Season it overnight if you have the time. And set it in a sealed plastic ziploc bag in the refrigerator overnight. Take out and grill when ready.
I also like mine medium rare with a little pink to it. It's juicier that way also.
I really like them for breakfast with some eggs, yellow grits, and toast!

I like to cook my steaks on my stove-top grill. For me, depending on the cut of beef, sometimes it needs to be marinated first, and sometimes not. If it's a well marbled cut like rib eye, top sirloin, porterhouse or T-bone, all I do is rub in a little olive oil and use coarse salt and fresh black pepper on each side. It's important to have the steak close to room temperature before cooking for tenderness, and to let it rest for 10 minutes or so after cooking so the juices get redistributed throughout the steak. If you cut into a steak right away, all the juice runs out, and the rest is dry.
If it's a tougher cut, like top round, skirt steal, etc., I like to marinate it for several hours in olive oil, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, a little acid (red wine or a little balsamic vinegar) then pat it dry before grilling.
If you don't have a grill you can always just use your oven's broiler.

first get every type of sauce and herb out of you cupboards mix it up put the mix along with you steak in a bowl.
Stab the steak with a fork a few times and stick in fridge for 2 hours at least the longer the better.
before cooking allow for the steak to get to room temprature get you pan as hot as you can put the steak on for 3 min then turn for another 3 min
Excellent very rare steak

Medium-rare...
Ok, to really answer your question, I love to rub a good steak with some olive oil and some montreal steak seasoning, let it rest for a couple of hours, and then grill it. Yum!

I use my old charcoal BBQ and go to the beach and pickup driftwood. It really is dry from laying on the beach and what a wonderful favor this will give your steak.

A grill absolutely. I use Lawry's marinade (comes in a little package and you add water to it; most of the mixes have you add oil and it burns on the grill). It's fantastic.
Or just salt and pepper.
