I have lost my sound on the internet, and I don't know why.?

My speakers work, my comp still has it's prompts, it is not on mute. When I try to use any music device it gives me an error. Yesterday it came back on all of a sudden, but after I shut down last night it is gone again.

My sound is having problems too.

It may be the sound card is going bad.. perhaps if you got another one and tried it?

Or borrowed a friends?


also- it may be the speakers are going bad.. try a different pair.
