hi, i am trying to hire or possable to buy a reclinning wheelchair for my mum, if anyone has one or no's where i could get one that would be great and if local to kent would be fantastic, as mum needs 24hour care, so i dont want to travel to far if i can help it. We hired one in Orlando while on holiday and it was great, i have only found one company but they want £4000 for one, unfortunatly i dont have that kind of money.

The chair's back reclines down and the foot plate comes up, so it looks like you are laying down, mum has bone cancer and find the normal wheelchairs to uncomfortable to sit in now, if any one can help, thank you.

I'm sorry to hear about your Mother. I know the disabled living foundation has information on where to hire wheelchairs. The British Red Cross also hires them out, but not sure about reclining wheelchairs. Ask your MacMillan Nurses or Occupational Therapist for advice. As they get alot of donations for things like this. I'm sure they would be able to get a hold of one for you without having to pay. Best of luck.
Actually just read you were on holiday in Orlando, but are you from Kent in UK? If so, hope the above is helpful.

I am sorry to hear about your Mum's plight. I am sure that if you get your local paper to interview you and your Mum, or your local TV/Radio station might help and perhaps one of your local organisations i.e. Round Table or the Lions will be only too happy to try and help you in obtaining a suitable wheelchair.
I wish you the best of luck in this.
