we have been going out for 9 months now and an old friend called up and just wanted to talk and so we walked around and talked and then i went back to his house and one thing led to another and i dont know why i did it but can someone help me find a way to explain to him why i did it

how are we supposed to know why u would do a thing like that! u can't keep it from him, u have to tell him and soon or it will get even worse! there is no way to explain it- u just have to apologize and hope he is forgiving! if he loves u- he will give u a chance, but all i can say is u should have thought about that when u were with the other guy!

Don't tell him unless you think that he may find out or you are prepared for him to leave you. If you tell him it will be over. So decide it this was a one time thing and it will never happen again or tell him and break up because he won't forgive you. Next time do the right thing.

If you are truly upset about it and regret it - don't say anything. If you say something you will only be doing it for a selfish reason - to clear your own guilt, and it will only hurt him. You are better off working the rest of your relationship to make it up to him without him knowing.
Just better hope no one else tells him.

all you can do is be honest and tell him. if you try to keep it from him it will eat you up and hurt him more when you eventually do decide to tell him. you can't help how he will take it and there is no way that you can explain it to him that would "hurt the least". if it is meant to be then the two of you will eventually get through it. but you have to tell him.
