The scientists that say global warming will kill our grandchildren or the scientists that say the microwave radiation from mobile phones will kill us? Or should we ignore both sets as mistaken?

i´d say the atom bombs is right now the biggest danger
here is my collection of ends of the humanity

dont worry the planet will survive ,but it is unlikely that we will
many predictions are for the years between 2012 and 2020
Nostradamus, the mayas ,Egyptions Jesus ,and Terrance Mckennas time wave who put the magnetic output of the world into a computor projection that stopped at zero in 2012,this stops the globe and it starts turning into
the other direction ,the resulting change of currents will turn the planet into a giant washing machine cleaning the surface

then there are the meteor ,the gulf of Mexico is the result of one that would have made life exstinct for a while ,this would result in an other ice age if the globe is covered in dust

then there are natural disasters
Volcanos are coming to life everywhere
the weather has giant storms like hurricanes ,tornados ,tidal waves ,earth quackes

a shift of the earth crust ,like a changing of the poles
under Anrarctica were found fosilized tropical plants indication the pole must have been in a different place then (the mainland atlantis is thought to be under it )

Now we got Global warming to contend with (see my answer on global warming)

and the biggest threat to any species of exstinction is ,when there are too little ,and when there are too many ,so overpopulation is also a threat

and the USA appears to be gunning for a global nuclear conflict .it is most likely that this will get us first looking at present politics

the planet will probably survive unless humanities bombs result it to be knocked out of its orbit

so many ends to choose from
if it wasnt so serious it would be rediculous

meanwhile enjoy life .and make the most of it at least we are all in the same boat

Well if every warning we´re not doomed, its also because we have the power (both intellectual and material) to countersteer in the right direction.

Global warming shouldn´t be scary since we can probably limit it greatly at a very minimum cost. You won´t even have to pay 0,5% of what you will earn in the following 30 years !!! so less than you pay for one inch larger TVscreen. And what is more important ? To be fair to all future generations and give them the same possibilities we had ? Or the larger TV which will be obsolete in 10 years ?

What is really scary about it is the relative passive attitude of the US or even denying attitude to protect our little interest and jeopardizing our children´s future to spare peanuts.

global warming, i hate it when people give excuses for global warming not being real, i know it's a theory.....but it's not like many countries have never wasted countless money toward stupid things that not even scientist agreed on!

We are not going to live forever, but if we can conserve we should. and it wouldn't hurt people to stay off their cells phones as much as they do, if only as a common courtesy to those arond them
