I used to find it as a guest ale about 10 years ago but haven't seen it for ages! anybody know?

during the nitro keg boom in the 90's guiness heavily promoted kilkenny in the uk, it's now been discontinued but is still sold in the us.

I've been drinking Kilkenny couple of days ago in the local pub, and yes, it is still that great irish beer you remember from 10 years ago. But I live in Croatia, not U.S.A., so I really don't know why you can't find that brand in your country any more. BTW, I think that Kilkenny is produced by the Guiness company.

Basically who cares! At regular intervals the marketing people people manage to convince enough punters that some bland inferior beer is actually worth buying rather than being as exciting as cold tea.
After a while the punters wise up and buy something better instead. The PR people move on, leaving the beer to wither away.....
Sorry if I've just slagged off your favourite beer (I suppose someone had to like it!)

It is sold everywhere in Québec and in much of the rest of Canada.
