I have long, shaggy hair but it is not working. I want it to look like

Please clarify how long your long hair is. Shoulders or just a bit shaggy?
Find a salon that had a good reputation. Ask your friends where they get their hair done, if they have good cuts. Make an appointment and bring in a picture of what you would like. Be very specific in describing what you want. Be honest with your hairstylist and tell him/her how much time you are willing to spend on your hair. Don't get a cut that is going to take 25 minutes to style if you are not going to spend the time to make it look good.

it depends on what your hair is like now, whats wrong with it? if its not laying straight down like you want it to then when your hair is damp try using a frizz spray like studio line smoothing milk then blow dry your hair with a brush pointing the hairdryer down to prevent frizz. good luck!

You can color cut it and use a little mosse and oilsheen and work it in.
