take a good long honest look at yourself and your actions...write down all of the things you like about yourself and all of the things you dislike about yourself...one by one change the things you dislike...some of them will be easy and some will take time, but if you keep working on growing as a human being you will be fine.

be cool...

Congratulations on being accepted by your peers-now give them a real reason to like you. The best "rule" I can think of is treating others how you would like to be treated. A good goal would be talking to a new person who might be an out cast,or letting someone borrow a pencil (simple things really make a difference). Some other ideas are complementing people (everyone loves being complemented;),and perhaps, since you get good grades, helping others out with school. Just do your best, and remember to have a good attitude while you do it.
Good luck!

well first off no one is popular stop referring yourself in that term keep telling yourself everyone is equal and second dont talk in class and send a letter of apology to all your teachers for your immature behavior trust me you'll look like the better person in the long run

if you say that you want to be a better person then i think you're already on the right track, because you're acknowledging the fact that you have some "undesirable" personality traits. try to avoid participating in gossip. make sure to have high standards for yourself and don't let other people drag you into their drama.

Don't listen to the man. You do what you have to do to enjoy life. Don't let society dictate your behaviour. Also, DOn't adhere to any belief system without first observing the fruits of its labors. You shall know them by there fruits. And they don't come much fruitier than the ones bound to be suggested.

It's hard to change your image once you have it. When you get to college turn over a new leaf and try real hard not to do the things that you don't like in you.
