I'm 5-7 and 103lbs. I can't lift heavy weights or my arms will fall off. I've tried eating and sleeping but it doesn't work. I want to gain 10-20 lbs in 2 months. And also I'm currently trying a milkshake a night weight gain diet.

Eat more lean meats like grilled chicken and turkey, take in a little more dairy, and pick up some whey protein supplements.

Try lifting some lighter weights...since you're a beginner, you can work your way up. Start with about 30 minutes of total body lifting twice a week, using low settings on the machines. Even old, frail people still lift weights at my gym...just not a ton, but it keeps them stronger than they would be if they did nothing. Good luck!

You don't have to lift heavy weights. But lifting weights would help you put on the right kind of weight (muscle mass) vs bad weight (fat) that you would get just by eating more.

You should work on lifting for your largest muscle groups - legs, back, chest - that way you build up the largest muscles - hence most weight.

Start with small amounts of weight and work your way up. Get training from a professional on what you should be doing. Join a gym, planet fitness is just $10/month.

I had a problem much like this. My doctor told me to eat those protein bars and drinks that are made specifically for older people who don't have adequate calorie intake. You can also eat those on the go "meal" bars and diet drinks, because although they are made for diets, if you uses them as SNACKS and not as meals then they will give you double the calories then in a normal snack. - good luck
