I'm going to play basketball in a city about an hour and a half away, so i want to get a snack before I leave but I'm not sure what is the best thing to get that will give me the energy I need for when I get there. Any suggestions?

You may benefit from a 50/50 split of carbs and protein. Carbs will give a longer energy boost (maybe eat 1/2 hour into the trip?) and protein is needed to make the carbs work. If it were me, I would have a sandwich made of turkey breast/low fat cheese and any veggies you like on rye bread. It is easy to take on the road also. You can also have apples. I like those "fruit/oat/grain" bars too. Watch the calories in some of them though. Good luck in the game !

Complex carbohydrates will give you the most sustained energy. Fruits and Veggies can do this for you. A banana or two is a quick/easy way to grab some. Low-fat peanut butter spread onto whole wheat bread can do it for you too.

A protein bar or some nuts. Be sure to drink some water before hand too, so you'll be well hydrated. Have a good game!

Bananas are a wonderful source of energy. Also peanut butter.

You need a mixture of protein and carbs to keep your energy going...try some trail mix or a protein bar

anything with calories gives you energy!!!! and obviously you plan on burning those calories,so no worry, most carbohydrates are a good source!! there are also energy bars you can buy from any gas station, on your way to your play!

You know what is best.a chocolate.Trust me that gives u a energy. i was in the same situation as u so my dad told to take a chocolate and i took it and it realy work.IF U DONT TRUST ME U WILL NOT HAVE ENERGY.I NOT KIDDING.AND DONT EAT IT ALL EAT A HALF

well i would go for like bananas... good source for calcium and potassium bring water/gatorade
